“ My daughter, Emilia, has been seen by Kristen for Occupational Therapy incorporating hippotherapy for a year now. She was born with a rare chromosome inversion leaving her with very low muscle tone throughout her body.

Her weekly OT sessions have drastically improved her core strength. There is a noticeable difference in her trunk control, gait, balance, and endurance. She is able to walk and stand alone for longer periods of time following her treatment sessions.

Emilia loves her weekly interaction with Kristen and the volunteers; And especially loves the connection she has with her horse. She leaves the barn every week giggling and smiling.

I would highly recommend Kristen and the therapy team at Red Barn Occupational Therapy if you or a loved one are in need of impactful therapy intervention. The team is well trained and compassionate. You couldn’t ask for a more caring group of people.”

"Over the past several years we have been extremely grateful that Kristen has been able to provide OT for our now 12 year old son. He struggles with ADHD, anxiety, OCD and dyslexia. Feeling safe, forming connections and completely trusting adult providers is a must for our son. That is precisely the care Kristen provides. Her OT sessions are always engaging, creative, compassionate and personalized, whether in person or virtual. Kristen's calmness, authenticity and her ability to really listen to my son's needs has made her one of my son's favorite therapists. She has helped my son not only in his OT journey, but also with his journey in life."

" I really like working with Miss Kristen. She is fun, cool and really nice. I like the projects we work on in OT."

"As a volunteer sidewalker in therapy sessions, I witness Kristen engaging her patients from the moment they walk in. Whether astride or off horse, they reap the benefits of her kind, caring manner, creative activities and attainable challenges. Gentle encouragement, attentiveness to the patient’s needs, and well-planned sessions are the norm."

"Kristen has given my daughter something I couldn’t. She lights up, smiles, and actually has that glimmer of the kid she used to be when she talks about horses. Red Barn has given us hope.  Riding has started my daughter on a journey of a life changing experience.  It’s baby steps but they are steps.  She’s fallen in love with horses and I’m so very happy.  Thank you for everything you have done!"
